classic vintage video.
a-ha- "The Sun Always Shines on TV" (1985)

The second single from their first album, the beginning of "The Sun" appears to be a continuation from the "Take On Me" video. Following one of the best song intros, the band is in a church playing to mannequins and mannequin heads. brilliant! and one of my favorite songs for a dance club. Although "Take on Me" is of course a-ha's one hit wonder, they, like many other similar artists (Gary Numan!) are still around. In fact, they were one of the biggest surprises at Live 8. no, they really did play at Live 8!

If a-ha is a one hit wonder, how come they're still doing albums more than 20 years after "Hunting High And Low"... I wonder...

Just surfed in.

I strongly disagree to calll a band with a dozen of top 10 hits a one-hit wonder. Especially when they have a top 10 hit after their first hit single.

i dont like to call them a one-hit wonder but in the U.S. "take on me" is the big hit song they are known for and was the only top 10 hit in the U.S. Their other top 10 songs occured in other countries. I was a fool and wrote from this country's perspective!
